All About Us
Who are we?
Our founder and CEO Marvion, was born in Jamaica then moved to the United States at the age 14, where she lived and studied to eventually receive her MBA.Through her work in Data & Analytics, she settled in London where she took her lifelong passion for skincare to develop Picafleur, which directly ties back to her roots.
Natural remedies for health and beauty are a part of daily life in Jamaica. Along with other fruits and plants, Cannabis is deeply integrated in the Jamaican culture, specifically to the religion of Rastafarianism where it is believed to provide meditative benefits. Cannabis is a great muse of Reggae music as well as a homemade remedy for pain relief in Jamaican households.
With research now showing that CBD, (naturally found in the cannabis plant), provides anti-ageing, anti-inflammatory, pain relief and skin improvement benefits, Marvion took her passion and culture to develop her CBD Skincare line, focusing on the skin benefits of natural fruit and plant extracts.
We live in a world where people are judged by their appearances. The pressure to have flawless skin is real, and it affects all of us. But what if we were told that there was no such thing as perfect skin? What if we were told that our natural skin type is the best one for us? Our goal is to create and maintain your healthiest skin in the most natural way.
The hummingbird shown in our logo is indigenous to Jamaica. It is known as Red-billed Streamertail or Doctor bird.
Hummingbird translates to Picaflor in some Spanish speaking countries, which literally means, “Flower Pecker or Flower Taster”. We translated the Spanish spelling of Flower (Flor) to the French spelling (Fleur) and Picafleur was born.
